[Senator Steve Heffernan (Addison County District)]: We're live.
[Anne Watson (Chair)]: Okay, hello everyone. This is Senate Natural Resources and Energy, and it is Tuesday, March, March 24. And we don't have very much time at the moment, but we did want to hear from Senator Hepburnin, who has an amendment to propose for S-three 25 and wanted to make sure that you had a chance to tell us about it.
[Senator Steve Heffernan (Addison County District)]: You. For the record, Senator Steve Heffernan from Addison County District. So, in this, the first, there's a couple of amendments I'm asking for. For one is for two or three is to basically repeal tier three and then as well as tier two. That's the first. Yeah. First, the first is tier three.
[Anne Watson (Chair)]: I don't know that that's what that does. That's not what that does.
[Senator Steve Heffernan (Addison County District)]: I Oh, I'm sorry. Sorry, you may see something in here. Apologies. My apologies.
[Anne Watson (Chair)]: I've
[Senator Steve Heffernan (Addison County District)]: been working on several. So my apologies. Is to push out the date from 2008 there to 2023. Then As for the rulemaking consent? Yes. For the implementation? Yes. Then, yeah, I was looking on a totally different one and I'm slightly unprepared. And then the second one is for action resolution number 818 secondtion 104 is to push that out to '23. What is that? What is the second? Yeah. That is second. What's it related to? I have to go back and get my notes. What's your intent here? I mean, you don't know if you My intent is to give us more time to look at what's going on. Believe that 181 was rushed, it was asked, it was vetoed and then overrode. Excuse me. What does this do? It just gives us more time. Gives the state more time, gives the learn more time to make sure what we're doing is the right thing. It does it apply some more than tier three or is this just applies to tier three? It was saying here is tier three, so for right now, the tier three. As I said, more of a looking into this because I haven't been following this as closely as I should. So I apologize for that. And I made some other amendments and now they're all swirling around in my head as I'm speaking to the committee. So I apologize for that. And my intent would be a few of a lot more than this. So this is just to give us the state more time to make decisions on what has to be needed.
[Anne Watson (Chair)]: Okay, so my sense at the moment is that we should not take any kind of straw poll because we should hear from our legislative council.
[Senator Steve Heffernan (Addison County District)]: I agree.
[Anne Watson (Chair)]: Yeah. So we will hold off on that and we actually will have committee tomorrow morning before the floor, which I'm anticipating we will be taking a second reading of three twenty five tomorrow. So we'll be able to hear from legislative council about what this does
[Senator Steve Heffernan (Addison County District)]: and we will go from there. And as I said, we may cease some of the other amendments. So my apologies. I had another business meeting this morning that's thrown me off in the beam for today. So my apologies. Okay, thank you very much. Okay,
[Anne Watson (Chair)]: and I said this earlier, but the majority of the remainder of the week, we're going be introducing some new bills that we're going to see coming over from the house and start taking some of the. So that's more or less the plan for the week. Okay, with any other thoughts or comments, folks?
