[Sen. Alison Clarkson (Chair)]: We great. Will Welcome back to Senate Economic Development, Housing and General Affairs. It's great to have you back. And we are back looking at draft 1.3 of h nine twenty one, the Lewisville of 2026. And we have made four amendments, which I think we're all sanguine with. And Tucker, would you like to just quickly go through them?

[Tucker Anderson (Legislative Counsel)]: Absolutely. So the new first instance of amendment in the committee's amendment to h nine twenty one amends section two seven b s a two twenty four in Subdivision C 1 to lower the number of fourth class license locations in that subdivision that are permitted to serve alcohol in the quantities that you identified from 10 to five. You already heard a review of the amendment in section six, just formerly the first instance of amendment. So I will pass right through that.

[Sen. Alison Clarkson (Chair)]: That's the distribution data.

[Tucker Anderson (Legislative Counsel)]: That is correct.

[Unidentified Committee Member]: Right. In

[Tucker Anderson (Legislative Counsel)]: the third instance of amendment, you are striking the perspective repeal of the self distribution authority. So that was the sunset. Right. In the fourth instance of amendment, you have the caterer license provisions that you discussed earlier. And then at the end, I had to add a new instance of amendment to deal with the effective dates again because you are removing that respective appeal. The sunset is deleted from subsection B, and we put a deleted note in its place. And that is all. Certains thereof deleted.

[Unidentified Committee Member]: Chair, would move favorably. House Bill nine twenty one has so amended in draft 1.3 dated dated 04/23. 04/23. It's actually '22 on the face of it.

[Unidentified Committee Member]: Should we have toast with this bill?

[Sen. Alison Clarkson (Chair)]: I think we should, but and I have a bottle of Prosecco next door. But it's before noon, and I think drinking before noon is even from my standard.
