[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: We are live.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: Welcome. This is the conference committee on page nine fifty one. It's 05/21/2006. Looking at a new grade out sheet that has a lot more grade f. But, like, like, We do not have enough reduction of pages.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: No. Because that's how we get to see how much we've done.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: Yes. We
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: can make the font smaller. No. Thank you. This is excellent.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: Fonts. Like, you could make a gray out of fonts.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Oh, good. Stages. Or
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: do you want
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Well, you thought you might have some information from for us or
[Unidentified staff (likely JFO/committee staff)]: some ethics? We will located in this. It's our.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: We don't In the spirit of compromise.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: And we can obviously look at this right now in our next meeting. Right.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: There's two there on there. Speaking of fonts. So
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: this was about the decision. We feel like their the ethics commission needs some restructure. Mhmm. So it's it's kind of encouraged them to think about that. And also for them to give us their assessment on this. Let's say we're limited to two FTEs, what they work that out. Then there would be separate language, which I don't know, maybe One, when we create a position, that we make it clear that they have flexibility. A new attorney that's not the executive director must have to be that position. They could hire a new full time executive director and use the money for that, hire a part time attorney. So we just want to make sure that the information has flexibility in their staffing with their FTEs that they have. So they'd still be limited to two FTEs within the budget number, but they have flexibility
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: on how they decide to structure it. Okay. When this says current staffing, that doesn't say of two FTEs. There some assumption that's current? Current staffing, right? Yeah, so do we wanna say current staffing of two FTEs? Yes. I'd like it to be a little Because right now, if we looked at it, it would just, it says, they would say they have one FTE. Yeah. Is that what they would say? Any
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: other things like that?
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Yeah, we'll take a look at it, but I do wanna go ahead and put it on. Well, I was just wondering if the reports come not on to the Appropriations Committee, but to the respective sub office Yeah.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: And did we figure out a way to word that flexibility on the new position? Still working both. Okay. Okay.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Right. Well, so on the new position, I do feel strongly that it needs to be an attorney.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: Yes, I think that would be But
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: what we call it beyond attorney, and whether they're attorney and executive director, or whatever. Would you absolutely agree that we'd like to happen
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: to be an attorney that's licensed practice in the room? Yes. Like a member of the bar.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Yeah, yes. I think Green Aid did not make any concessions.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: So we'd like to add that to the narrow The description
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: of one of the employees. Right. But we have to fund them so that we're funding that full time position. So it's an attorney, but then how they decide what the attorney does is to them. I mean, they wanted two attorneys, so. Yeah, it's, wouldn't, I know, grading a bit. If it's in good standing to practice law in the or something like that.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: I have some other language that I could Okay. End up. It's not anything we've talked about before. Okay. This is language China and the Senate conference. However, they have seen a language because we passed the bill to put this language in it. So this is language that has passed this committee on seventwenty seven. The renewable energy study from the PUC and 07/27, which is the data center bill. Yes. There's interest in making sure this happens, there's concern that the bill would get detoned and then we'd lose this study, is gonna be helpful for the whole, for no longer the standard and other purposes.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Senator Perchlik showed this to me very quickly yesterday afternoon. I was in type of time. I did check with the chair of House Energy, who was well aware of this and totally supports doing this. I mean, it's language about It's a report. So this is currently in 07/27? Yes.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: It has passed the house and has it quite passed inside.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Okay. So we've already sort of approved it once. Yeah. Okay. So So, that chair had no problem with that. So, I'm perfectly happy accepting it at my conference. You've never seen it before, would like to look at it, and then we can come back at 03:30. Yeah. I'd like to do That's fine. Okay. So, ma'am.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: And the only thing asking you, which I think we talked about before we went live, was about
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: the AFT sections. Yes. Do you want to tell me which specific sections they're saying need to be dealt with before? If there's, like, I don't know
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: how to find it specifically, there's $3,000,000 transfer from pilot fund on the local roads. Yeah. Yeah. It's local roads program, basically getting money to the local communities. Right.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: That's sort of part from our thinking at the moment. It's sort of part of the board. And then Do you have the line numbers?
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: I don't want to have it in the note on my end.
[Unidentified staff (likely JFO/committee staff)]: This other one. What? 6060
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: No. I'm not. Yes. No. No. That's a. It's non emergency 6566. Is it non emergency? And the pilot about
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: because know that 66 is the main one.
[Unidentified staff (likely JFO/committee staff)]: Well, 150 That they're all day at 65 too because the 300,000, they didn't want that. We have language in the T bill on that, and so that's all for our attention.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: 66 is 3,000,000, and 65 is 300.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: And then the 300,000 for non emergency is general fund, correct? And we've accounted for it in the budget, correct? Okay. So we're not talking about new money to a house, but not new money in budget. So those are their two key ones that they're
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: Yes. Okay. Well, the whole construct is really
[Unidentified staff (likely JFO/committee staff)]: Gotcha. But those two
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: were brought up. Okay. So I could say those were gonna get closed down, and they could agree. It's my understanding.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: You be able to agree to the whole rest of the T Bill at that point, or is it just these two?
[Unidentified staff (likely JFO/committee staff)]: I think we're down. We would be a lot closer to voting now once. Yeah. Okay.
[Rep. Pat Brennan (Clerk)]: Well, as I said, I think we're trying to reschedule a meeting that was gonna be this morning. Obviously, since you've met, they have more information to share with me as well. Maybe I'll have something at 03:30. I don't think that we have anything else at this point. I think in talking with JFO, we may go over the technical letter at 03:30. We're gonna do that, so, and then we can get back to you on these, and maybe you might have one or two other little things. If I have anything for the T Bill that we all understand, we can do that. Oh, and then there's a language piece that we just put in another bill that we don't need in the budget, but I'll chat with you a little bit about that and we can talk about that. And then we're working on some group things. We may have also been able to figure out a group of clusters of group things. I'm trying to see if there's ways to find more money for food. I figured you would find. I'm Or fruits. Sort of noodling on sort of a bigger package that would include food, but not just food. Where are we in the bills that aren't happening and bills that aren't happening? And use some of that to redirect into other places. Not if we for prime time.
[Sen. Andrew Perchlik (Chair)]: And we are eagerly awaiting your disposal on I know. Okay. So is there anything else? Okay. So it's not in. Alright.
