[Jill Krowinski (Chair)]: Welcome back, House Rules. We have one additional item for our education committee is working hard on a committee bill around education transformation. It is a committee bill, and the deadline for committee bills to be introduced is per our rules, house rule 40 c two. It's the last day in March, which is today. And it is true that ways and means and appropriations do not have this deadline does not apply to them. But it does apply to education, and so we need to permit it to be able to be introduced after the bill deadline. So I think this is a really important bill. It's critical that it keeps moving through the process. I expect the education committee to move a bill out in the next couple of days so it won't be too long, But we definitely need to approve this for them to keep on going on that bill. Happy to answer any question. No? When do you do how long are you gonna give them? We don't need to, it's just a- Oh, it's just a blanket? Yeah. Whenever you're done, you're done? Okay. That's not the Well, it's probably not the way it really needs Yes, to yes. They do have a deadline, but for this purpose, it doesn't need to be for a certain, it's just a yes or no. We permit this to move forward or not. Should our vote relate to what we think of the bill? This is purely about the bill being processed. Can I have a motion? Can I make a motion? I move

[Lori Houghton (Vice Chair)]: that this committee permit the committee on education to approve its committee bill on the next steps in education transformation after today's committee bill introduction deadline.

[Jill Krowinski (Chair)]: Any further discussion? I will second that. Thank you. Alright. Thank you. Seeing no further conversation, I will call the roll. Representative Bartholomew? Okay. Yes. Representative Dolan? Yes. Representative Feltus? Yes. Representative Higley? Yes. Representative Houghton? Yes. Representative McCoy? Yes. And I am a yes. Motion passes, seven zero. Thank you so much for coming back and for your time to address this. I really appreciate it. That completes our mission for this meeting and we are adjourned.
