[Martin LaLonde (Chair)]: Good morning, and welcome to house judiciary. It's Tuesday, Jan yeah. January 13, and we're here to discuss an amendment, take a straw poll, on change of title for h four zero nine. And from here, I will turn it over to representative Goodnow. Thank you, Mr. Chair. So you'll have to excuse, we don't have Ledge Council here to do a walk through, you'll have

[Ian Goodnow (Member)]: to just listen to me. Before the committee is a minor amendment to H four zero nine, changing the title. As you all will recall, the prior title to H. Four zero nine was an act relating to the procedures for bail revocation. And I think you can all immediately identify the error in that title that we're not talking about procedures relating to bail revocations, but orders denying bail revocation and the appeals of those orders denying them. So the proposed change in minor amendment to H four zero nine would change the title to an act relating to appeals of orders denying bail revocation. And that is the totality of the amendment.

[Martin LaLonde (Chair)]: Great. I'll take a motion to accept the amendment. So moved. Second. Second. All those in favor?

[Ian Goodnow (Member)]: Aye. So there are seven of us.

[Martin LaLonde (Chair)]: What's

[Ian Goodnow (Member)]: that? Want to confirm any opposed?

[Martin LaLonde (Chair)]: Oh, any opposed. I'm sorry.

[Ian Goodnow (Member)]: Thank you. Okay. There are seven of us in the room. There are zero opposed, and there should be four Not on both. Four nonboth. Abstinences. So, as you'll all recall from Friday, this junior member screwed up the vote count, so it should be seven zero four. Correct. Great. Thank you.

[Martin LaLonde (Chair)]: Great. Thank you.
