[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Thank you. All right, everyone. Welcome to House Government Operations and Military Affairs. It is Friday morning,
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: February 5. February? Fifteenth. Wow. Sorry, I broke the wall there on the table. We are taking up a five eighty eight, NAC relating to professions and occupations regulated by the Office of Professional Regulation. It's a bill we've been working on since probably around February 15.
[Lisa Hango (Vice Chair)]: And
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: we have to take a stronghold on the Senate proposal amendment. This was in and around the expanded language for pharmacies and pharmacy techs, primarily pertaining administering HIV medication. We heard some testimony on it the other day. Possible So this bills up for action on the floor later today. So taking a position now would be prudent. Open up the table for any comment or discussion. Everybody was clear with what was proposed by the Senate once we heard from Department of Health, etcetera, about the Presidents?
[Lisa Hango (Vice Chair)]: It was quite clear and completely understandable and supportive.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: With that, I know we all have other meetings and other things that are like bundling up before we go back to the floor later on. So favorable thumbs on the Senate proposal of amendment? One, two, three, four, five, that looks like a unanimous thumbing. Yes, eleven-zero-zero, favorable to the Senate proposal of amendment. Representative Nugent, you are the reporter. If you could deliver the good news. That's a verbal Yes. With that committee, caucus meetings are now for both parties, meeting at 11:15. We are gonna suspend our work on the alcohol bill until next week. So this brief straw poll in action is all we are doing in the room this morning, unless something comes up on the floor that requires us to come down here. Representative Hango.
[Lisa Hango (Vice Chair)]: Thank you. Since we postponed the alcohol bill until Monday, what is the process of getting it postponed again on Tuesday? We would have to ask for further postponement because right now it will be on Monday's notice calendar and action calendar So that's
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: a good flag. So we'll communicate that with the speaker's office and the clerk's office that we need to probably suspend it two
[Lisa Hango (Vice Chair)]: more days. And, Rutland, will you be here Tuesday for the floor to ask for that?
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Yep, so. Great. Thank you. Nope, good flag. So, all right team, that will take us off now until we reconvene back here on Tuesday at 9AM to go over testimony
