[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Alright. We are live. Alright, everyone. Welcome back. That break. We are joined by council, and we are taking a look at and, move forward with the committee bill format. So, we do have this. Well, it's it is committee discussion and possible vote, but let's just run through it real quick and hear what council has say. Hi, council.
[Sophie Sedatney (Office of Legislative Counsel)]: Yeah, good morning. This is Sophie Sedatney for the Office of Legislative Council. And is it okay if I go ahead and share my screen? Yes. So, as you noted, this is just converting House Bill eight eleven into a committee bill, so the introduction at the top here just looks a little different. And then, the other change is on page 21, and this was the definition of a Gold Star family member that was discussed yesterday, and this kind of reverts back to the language that was originally contemplated. So, a Gold Star family member means any spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent or grandchild of a member of the US Armed Forces who died while serving or from a service connected illness or injury. Otherwise, the rest of the bill is the same as what we reviewed yesterday.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Okay. It's much better. And it was section 40.
[Sophie Sedatney (Office of Legislative Counsel)]: Just skipping down. The top of page 21.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: 21. I'm thinking. There we go. Highlight it. Love it.
[Sophie Sedatney (Office of Legislative Counsel)]: What do want me to say, Sophie? Yes.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: All right. Discussion. Alright. Questions. It's I will like the language a lot better. Yeah. And what was your succinct. Okay. I see a thumbs up from representative Stone. So, alright. I guess that's quick work with this stage. So barring any further discussion, I'll take a motion.
[Sophie Sedatney (Office of Legislative Counsel)]: I motion to pass as written.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Draft request two six dash zero seven nine six draft one point one. Okay. Motion has been made. Hearing any other comment or discussion? Clerk will call the roll.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Boyden, yes. Representative Coffin?
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Yes.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Hango? Yes. Representative Hooper Randolph? Yes. Senator Hooper of Burlington?
[Robert Hooper (Member)]: Yes. Senator Morgan?
[Michael Morgan (Member)]: Yes.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Nugent? Yes. Representative Pinsonault? Yes. Representative Stone? Yes. Representative Waters Evans? Yes. Representative Byron? Yes.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Eleven-zero-zero.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Alright, thank you committee and thank you counsel. So Reporter. The report of the bill will be, representative Stone. I'll thank you for that clarification from the clerk. And so next up, we have a flyby on H 775 with Robert Hooper, and so that is scheduled for then. So until then, we all have a bunch of moving parts right now and other bills we're working on. So we will go offline until 11:30 when we take that one up. But there is no shortage of things to do. So with that, thank you everyone.
