[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: We are live. Alright. Welcome back, everyone. It's about 11:40 on the January 23. And we are having a conversation about the language change in the, Essex Charter Amendment proposal, H516. Committee is familiar with the change. We discussed it the other day. Did send a new language to the representatives from Essex whom we've been working with. So, mister Nugent, how are you?
[Mr. Nugent (Essex representative)]: I'm doing well. Thank you. How are you?
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Not bad, sir. Not bad. So, thank you for working with us through this process. And just wanted to check-in with you on the record that the language changes are suitable for you folks?
[Mr. Nugent (Essex representative)]: They are. I saw that the the change would be specifying that cemetery commissioners are appointed by the select board and not the manager. That's what I saw as the one change. And, yes, that is totally fine. That makes sense. And thank you for correcting that oversight that we had put forward.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Yep. And we're actually, we've had so much going on this morning with other bills that the committee assistant is posting the draft that we're discussing right now. So we'll give that a minute to get up there because I would love to have that on the page before we take the post.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: So everybody will have to refresh their page as soon as Nick says that he's got it listed.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: So, bear with us for
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: a moment. But,
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: I guess for our housekeeping, Rutland is the reporter of the bill. The clerk is ready to call the bill. She is in a different order for the time being, so everybody is aware that the names will be called alphabetically and not by table configuration proceeding.
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: What's the outside? It shouldn't be out there.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Alright. Let's all do a little refresh here. So, this is to accept it with the proposal of amendment draft number. That will be the motion.
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Okay. So that's the amendment. Right.
[Unidentified Committee Member]: But it says h five ten on the
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Yes. So, it'll be accept h five 61 with the proposal of amendment. 516. I'm sorry. 516. Well, my eyes are all over the place. Alright.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: Any other discussion on this?
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: For some reason, it's not coming up from okay. Give me a second. My Internet has been really funky.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: You have your own?
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: I don't have it on the page. Is it on the list of documents?
[Unidentified Committee Member]: With page five ten.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Oh, then why is everybody talking about five one six?
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Because it's
[Unidentified Committee Member]: supposed to be 516. When you open it, it shows 516. It is listed wrong.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: So I guess it needs to be listed as five one six. Sorry about that. That's okay. Then I had it.
[Unidentified Committee Member]: That's where I was running into trouble.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Graph 1.1. Apologies to those of you listening.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: We got there.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: It was slow.
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Okay. Thank you.
[Mr. Nugent (Essex representative)]: All
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: right. With that, barring any other discussion, further commentary, I will make the motion that we find favorable age five sixteen with proposal of amendment. Or call the roll.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Boyden. Yes. Representative Coffin.
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Yes.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Pingo. Yes. Representative Cooper, Randolph? Yes. Representative Cooper, Burlington?
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Yes.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Morgan?
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Yes.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Representative Nugent? Yes. Representative Pinsonault? Yes. Representative Stone? Yes. Representative Water Evans? Yes. Representative Birong?
[VL Coffin IV (Member)]: Yes.
[Lucy Boyden (Clerk)]: Well, it's US. Oh, well, it's US.
[Matthew Birong (Chair)]: We all need lunch. Yeah. Yes. Alright. Friends from Essex, thank you so much for your time. We appreciate it.
[Mr. Nugent (Essex representative)]: Thank you very much. Good luck with the rest of the session.
